The directors used what was already available to them
Scenario
After being resurrected by a sinister creature, Art the Clown returns to the shy town of Miles County, where he targets a teenage girl and her little brother on Halloween night. The haunted house scenes in “Terrifier” were filmed at a real haunted house called the Fright Factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Art’s favorite acid is fluoroantimonic acid, which comes in a clear glass bottle. It is a super acid that can even dissolve glass.
Art the Clown:
There is a scene in a mental hospital with Chris Jericho as security guard Alan Burke and Leah Voisey as a nurse. The German DVD and Blu-ray releases of Tiberius Film are trimmed by approximately three minutes to ensure the “Not Under 18” rating (this was necessary as the guidelines for video releases are stricter than theatrical releases). Basically every scene of violence was cut to tone down the violence. Nameless Media’s 4K Ultra-HD Mediabook Blu-ray releases are completely uncut and have received a light SPIO/JK endorsement.

The Equalizer (Not Alone) Written by Tim McEwan & Tyler Lyle (as Jamison Tyler Lyle) Performed by The Midnight Courtesy of BMG Platinum Songs U.S. (BMI). The movie is about 45 minutes longer as others have noted. It’s clear that the director got carried away.
Less is always more!
There are some plot developments that don’t fit the original film at all. Sometimes when filmmakers get a bigger budget, they feel they have to expand the storylines and run time. The plot elements add confusion to the simple plot, which if it had been shortened to about 90 minutes, would have had more impact. The carnage wasn’t as bad as it looked on the Internet.
None of this carnage was new
It’s already been done in many other movies. I think the creator of “Terrifier 2” unnecessarily inserted additional thematic storylines into the sequel. After all, it borders on fantasy or science fiction. My advice to the creator or director is to “keep it short and tight.”
